SJC Planning doesn't include a huge team of directors sat in an office counting money, it is just me, Simon Craddock, with approaching 20 years of experience in the planning industry. I have been involved in many projects from small householder garden rooms through to large village developments, with applications for holiday accommodation, leisure parks and listed buildings all included. I have even designed and built my own house and can assure you that I fully understand how stressful and nerve-wracking planning can be!
I am not an architect, or architectural technician, although I can undertake a survey of your property, including taking spot levels, and completing the necessary drawing work for you. I believe that great design should be both functional and beautiful. I work collaboratively with a number of great designers, so if your project requires a little more than I can offer, I will happily make no-fee introductions to ensure that your project reaches its full potential.
I understand that every client is unique, and that the input a client may want can vary from being involved every step of the way, to not wanting anything other than a planning permission at the end of it! I pride myself on taking the time to understand the needs and goals of the client. I believe that having a client-focused approach ensures that the results meet clients' needs and exceed their expectations. Sometimes, all a client needs is a quiet chat over a cup of coffee, pacing and marking the ground with sticks.

Being self-employed, I know what it is like to balance the needs of a family with other commitments, such as the school run, piano lessons, swimming lessons and Scouts. I am happy to contact you out of hours by prior arrangement, including if needed, undertaking a site visit.
